Melody is located in Greenville, SC and has a Masters of Fine Arts degree in Animation. She always strives for her art in whatever it's form to bring joy to others. She hopes that it will be a respite from all the darkness that exists in the world.
Her dance journey began in 2018 at the NIAD studio under the tutelage of Jaidra Durant. She quickly advanced to join the NIAD troupe in 2019 who regularly perform at local festivals and events; and then went on to become a NIAD 100 Level Instructor in 2021.
After looking for a style that focused on skirt, she discovered Divine Chaos Skirt format taught and directed by Shannon Bowers out of Phoenix AZ and has loved it ever since. In 2021 she became a Certified DC skirt format Instructor in order to share the style with her local dance community.
Last year Melody started studying Boho blade style sword dance under Belladonna. She is currently a Certified Level 2 Sword Technician and plans on continuing to level up this coming year.
In addition to studying extensively with these amazing teachers, Melody has also traveled to various workshops, week long retreats, conventions, and taken live online classes with Rachel Brice, Zoe Jakes, Silvia Salamanca, Pixie Fordtears, Jillina Karlano, Kadijah, Sahira and Mira Betz.
