WHAT:
Melody has been focusing her teaching on Divine Chaos Skirt format. This fun energetic style uses 25+ yard skirts to create dynamic shapes and movements. This style of dance is formulated for group improvisation using subtle cues for dancers to communicate with each other in a performance setting.
She is also authorized to teach the Niad curriculum created by Jaidra Durant. While Niad has permanently closed it's doors we hope to continue it's spirit.

TEACHING PHILOSOPHY:
In her classes, she strives to create a supportive, communal environment where students not only learn and practice dance technique, but find joy, connection, self-esteem, and personal expression. Melody firmly believes all persons are welcome in her class regardless or race, gender, religion, class, citizenship etc. and deserve a respectful, and safe environment in which to learn.

Melody is currently teaching at Val's ballet dance school located at 475 Haywood Road, Greenville SC at 8pm on Monday nights. You can call or text: (864) 905-3636 to register.
Melody is also available for workshops, and private or semi-private lessons. Don't hesitate to reach out.
While it is recommended that students have their own skirts, she does have some that students can borrow.
